    hello all

i know is best early but, what would be a good ddr2 suitable for the conroe in terms of gaming and overall performace.

i got an amd x2 4400 with 2gb ddr running at 2.3.2.5 1t, i know tithgt timings for amd is better but i,m not sure of intel.

any suggestions on this would be great

    many thanks

Are you sure that's DDR2, because that must have set you back an arm and a leg!

Back to topic, I wouldn't buy DDR2 RAM just yet because it's way too expensive. As for Conroe, DDR2-800 or DDR2-1000 would probably be the best you can buy. Not sure whether it's dependent on low latencies like AMD's K8 chips, but I guess there's no harm in it other than the price.

the 1 gig patriot kit low latencys ones seem pretty cool says 4-4-4 timings that must be pretty decent for ddr 2 tbh
