Cheers - maybe we'll start with a few supermarket samples.

This 2.3kg Arla block seems to get a few recommendations:

https://www.marcoalimentari.com/online-store/ARLA-MOZZARELLA-BLOCK-2-3kg-p130130258

I've seen somebody mention Costco stock it but we don't have a card there, nor one very close anymore. There's people selling via Amazon and eBay but it's almost £25 a block including delivery.

Costco stoc the grated Arla Mozz too, think its about 2.99 for a KG bag :)
Their romano cheese is well worth grabbing while yer there we just finished our last block.

and Keep an eye on the canned good aisle, they've had cans of San Marzano toms there too larger ones, think they were 450gm 3 cans for 7.50
I decided to give them a bash after all the hype and I do agree they make a damn fine pizza just with a pinch of salt, Im not making any more pizza wiht the old KTC toms I use.
Valfrutta ones do seem ok.

As for the pellets I've been using those Eco brites since I got mine problem free.
https://www.wolseley.co.uk/product/balcas-brites-wood-pellet--non-trade-10-kg/

They quite often have 2 listed on the site, identical from what I can see but onle normally about a quid cheaper haha

I do have the gas burner but haven't gotten round to trying it yet.

I knew there would be a thread on ocuk for these - ordered a koda 12 that hopefully arrives before Xmas. It’s gas powered, what do I need to buy to fuel this thing?

I thought there was a recent post in here about exact gas cyclinder someone was pre-purchasing and typical grams of gas per pizza.

hadn't appreciated I couldn't sign up even if they were more local
Here in the UK, it’s a different kettle of fish.
To become a Costco Individual member (£33.60 a year) you first need to prove that you currently work for or are now retired from one of a select number of professions, including, police, fire/rescue, education, government etc. Individual Members are able to shop from 12 noon Monday to Friday but not Bank Holidays.
OR
To become a Trade Member (£26.40 per year) you need to prove you are self-employed by providing one of the many acceptable forms of business evidence.
OR
If you know someone who has a Costco Individual or Trade Membership, you could ask if you could be added to his or her membership. Trade Members can offer up to an additional 6 membership cards at £14 per year each however, Individual Members can only have one extra complimentary card and one extra purchased card (£14 per year) it’s “supposed” to be for someone who lives at the same address as the registered Individual Member however.
OR
Anyone can become a member of Costco for £15 per year – but you can ONLY shop online, you cannot go to any of their warehouses nor can you attend any of their hearing centres

I’m asking if anyone has any recommendations, calor seems to not have any in stock. Is the smallest bottle a good option or would you recommend larger, or is it purely dependant on how much space I have. Do I need to buy any additional regulators etc?

I have a Ooni 3 with a 13kg gas bottle. We have had it since October 18, and changed the bottle this week. This is pizza most weeks for 5 and two pizza partys for 20 people.
from earlier discussion I'd concluded ~6 months once a week - £25 a refill.

c4 tv programme on chefs duplicating dominoes pizza had a few interesting bits , hadn't realised they completely reengineered their pizzas over last 10 years,
haven't had one for that long.
- D's cold/cool ferment for 2+ days
- D's Use of diced moz, how do i do that ? the chefs derision of the qualiity of the supermarket grated moz reaction!
- D's prep of the tomatoe 'sauce' impressive - harvested+preppd at a single (portugese?) farm

My Ooni is sitting in my garage waiting to be opened on xmas day. i've not been this excited for xmas in a long time. If you didn't know, ooni have an app with an ingredients calculator and lots of helpful tips and videos.

I've been researching how to make proper pizza dough and, even though i've had some cracking pizzas using the hot pan and grill method, I've been doing it wrong all along. Let's just say there was a rolling pin involved....

This guy explains how to make a pizza base very well and he's obviously very passionate about pizza

so you need Xmas pizza ideas ? - albeit, not an original thought -
main : pre-cooked sausagemeat stuffing(with sage&oinion) would be nice, sliced blanched sprouts, chestnut ?
desert : xmas pudding slices, (molten) minced-meat, flambayed too ?

Pizza lovers can embrace the seasonal spirit with the launch of a new Christmas pizza from Pizza Hut.

The limited-edition pizza includes rotisserie chicken, crispy bacon, and sage and onion stuffing, on a red wine gravy base.

According to a company statement, the pizza encapsulates “all the best elements of the traditional dinner without having to suffer a sprout”.

Haha I'll stick to traditional efforts first! Maybe do some odd leftoverss.

My sister said she'd had that pizza hut one and it was surprisingly tasty.

Bite late replying but when I wanted a bottle of patio gas (new as opposed to a refill), I'd looked on the Calor website (which said nada) and rang the local Blue Diamond garden centre - they said no stock and no idea when. Next I tried an independent gas specialist and they could supply no problem, so I tagged the bottle on to an order of a new 47kg propane cylinder for the cooker.

Karu turned up today, quick assembly this afternoon and a pick up of the Wolseley pellets and on to the first cook this evening. First pizza I left too long as I got distracted and burnt the top of the crust, but second rose nicely and tasted spot on, altghough could have perhaps done with a few more seconds although I was very nervous after burning the first. Will probably have some more on Boxing Day with some outdoor guests providing the rain stops!Might have to try the Brie, Cranberry and Bacon @200sols
