Looking for some help with our new place!

It's an 80's build one bed house and we're doing both the living room on ground floor (concrete base) and the bedroom upstairs.

We're wanting to take up the old carpet and put some laminate down in the living room but as it's a concrete base we wondered whether we need a damp proof course first then the cork underlay?

We've bought 2mm thick cork after looking around online at options - does that sound enough?

Does it matter if you put a moisture resistant layer in or would cork be sufficient to do that job?

We are going to get some Krono Original HDF 10mm laminate from Selco as our builder has a trade card there which is handy!

Any thoughts much appreciated!

I'd just stick some sonic gold down, we have 70s townhouse with concrete floor downstairs, dry as a bone so must be DPM.

Go for thickest you can though... we opted for carpet over laminate/engineered on downstairs floor just because of the tog rating of carpets and underlay.
