How rude - I forgot to post about the car.

Well, it's an animal thats for sure, and very nicely presented.

But scooby ownership isn't what it used to be.

The engine itself isn't a problem - it's the ECU map. It needs a remap straight out the factory.

Stupid stupid Subaru UK.
Ah right, Well i didn't do too bad considering I know 'nothing' about scoobys :D Always amazes me how much info you pick up without even realising

 Idiots! Especially as the P1 was designed as a UK car.

Exactly. They took a 5 Type-R, replaced the lovely DCCD short ratio gearbox with a non DCCD taller geared item, and put different foglights, splitter and spoiler on.

The Type-R is the better car.

They used to be here. I remember when I was in high school I had a BIG thing for Impreza's.

Now, every asian kid and his brother are driving round in them :( And Evo's. I reckon Skyline's are next.

I've emailed the guy and left him a voicemail!
Thanks for confirming my thoughts regarding the car, from memory the only thing I disliked about scoobs was their ability to chomp through tyres, the 380HP it makes is fine and its supported by well chosen mods, its not just a bleed valve and a prayer :)

Because you no longer have one? ;)

Give me some credit. I love the car, I just cringe at the image now.

Let's face it - they've been falling into the wrong hands for a while now.

Round here every Asian shopkeepers Son has one.

New ones aren't selling, 2nd hand ones aren't selling.

The car is out of favour - why is that? It's still a brilliant car - but nobody wants one.....

What sort of power was your old one making Will?

And Ben, what are the differences between the 22B and P1 then?

Glad it's not just me who said that. I thought I'd get branded a racist for saying something like that.

The 22B is a bloody great car :D
Every one of them was hand built and they are very limeted edition.
The sell down here for about $250,000 AUD
Its probably the most special scoob ever built :)

278hp, thats what it RR'd at but I used 1.10 bar at the RR and used to run it upto 1.20 so around 300 I reckon, my old one was nice but this one is the model I always wanted, to me 2.5 litres seems a lot more capable of safe power delivery - the only problem I have with this possible new car is there is very little for me to do to it :(

New dump valve is a must, HKS supersound would be the first thing I bought and maybe 6 pot brakes, but I should confirm I'm actually buying the car first of all :p

The 22B is basically handbuilt, and very special. Wider body for the wider track of the wheels, 2.2 engine with an amazingly flat torque 'curve', if you can call it a curve. Loads of other differences too. It's an amazing machine.

Down here they sell for 2-3 times as much as what you lot are selling them for :(
There is almost no way i can get my hands on one for a reasonable price :(
