I get this message so many times when trying to convert dvds to avi, I think it is mpeg audio, If I try to save the file as a wav I keep getting the same error message, it also says source format tag 0050, anyone know what that means?

I dont know what it means but have you tried installing the K-Lite Codec pack? It comes with loads of nice codecs and might get rid of the message.

Could also be that you are trying to use Vdub to work on a file with AC3 so you will need the decompressor for Vdub linked from videohelp.com

I had this problem and the only way I could solve it was by using a tool called decompress.exe it is bundled with another tool called Avi2Vcd if you cannot find it then, email me and I will send you the tool. ;)
