Thinking of moving my machine over to Media Centre edition for use with my 360, and just wantedto check a couple of things as I really dont know much abo it.

    1. Can you still install IIS?
    2. Can you move from XP to Media Centre edition or is a clean install required.
    3. Are there any good reasons NOT for migrating?

    Go for MediaPortal instead.

MCE is a new OS install (and is priced as such), whereas MediaPortal is free, and very well supported.

That will enable you to use XP's IIS (haha /Nelson), without having to a) perform a fresh install, b) pay for it, c) migrate settings, d) put up with MCE's ridiculous CPU & RAM whoring.
