cpu for 3d mark 05

    just wondering if you are only running the graphics card tests on 3d mark 05, does your chip make a difference to the score as with 2 x1900xt in crossfire i only get 13100 with an fx57, though ive seen ocuk guys get 14k plus running stock, does the cpu make a difference

    No the cpu dont matter much in 05, altho it might at higher scores. The cpu test dont effect your overall score.

    you are prob cpu limited very much so in 05 with that cpu.

    7800's sli'd with a 3.4ghz fx chip is cpu limited to a certain extent,

    overclock that cpu and your scores should go up

    Yup your are running into major CPU limitation.

    I can remember back when I had twin 7800GTX's that the difference in 3dmark05 between running my old 4000+ @2.4 ghz and then at 2.8ghz was 1200 points.
