Creative X-Fi Support

    Freaky, until I posted this there were 666 posts in this section of the forum :eek:

    Has anyone heard anything lately about the availability of drivers or kernel updates that will support the X-Fi (no point in going back to Ubuntu until this happens :rolleyes: )? I've been having a mooch around and can't find any recent news, but I wondered whether someone with their finger more on the pulse had heard anything...

    I'd heard there was no chance until Creative co-operated more. Something else came up, something about no creative soundcard (or soundcard in general) with a DSP has ever had drivers written for it, or at least to take advantage of features etc.

    That is *not* good - I love their products but sometimes their support sucks (even their windows software is poor :rolleyes: )
