Cryptocurrency mining - anyone do it?

Hi,


Does anyone here mine cryptocurrency? Interested in understanding if using an ASIC rig (e.g. an antminer) to mine bitcoin is profitable and rough associated costs.

I'm assuming it is possible to make a profit some how, otherwise no one would do it. Is there a particular way of getting cheaper electricity than a domestic tarrif?
