Hi,

This may not be possible, but i'm looking for a data recovery company in the UK that will simply take the disks out of a faulty Seagate 2TB external drive and place them into a working drive, without the extra of recovering the data and charging for this too - if i supply them with both the faulty drive and a working one?

Is this something that anyone has had any experience with or something that a company would do?

Many thanks.

Krolll are the best place for data recovery, but I don't think you'll save anything asking for it to be done in this way. It may actually make the job more complicated.

Once the drive is rebuilt, recovering the data is really just a matter of leaving it on the bench to copy to a new disk. Supplying a disk for them to write the data on might give a small discount I suppose.
