Hello!
Just wondering what you guys thought... bought a Conroe E6300 CPU (OCers) and a Asus DH Mobo (competitor). When I put it all together the system wouldn't give video output or POST! (No beeps no HD activity). My immediate thoughts were dead mobo (it seems ASUS are great boards when they get it right, but like to send lots of DOA motherboards to people!). I was very careful to check all the connections and make sure that everything is in properly. I just wondered how likely it is to be the CPU? I know that when these things are manufactured that CPUs are tested over and over, so I can only assume that it's the mobo!
(P.S. competitor say that the Asus DH Mobo (775X) mobo comes pre-flashed with the latest BIOS avoiding having to put in an old CPU to get working....) [Hence it can't be that the BIOS is out of date!!]
P.S Sorry didn't realise about comptetitor bit!
