Unusual day today. Heard first thing this morning that a distant aunt had died. Then later, while thinking about her, realised that she was the last person to have survived from the generation before me in my family. So now, the only relatives I have who are older than me are cousins - members of my own generation. And two of my cousins have died in the last few years. I can just picture the scene at her funeral next week. All of us looking at each other and wondering "Who's next?" Quite a sobering thought.

My thoughts will be with your family as with my own.

All i will say is one of my Uncles died the other day. The rest i feel is inappropriate to post here. Its never nice, and has hit my old man [one of the 4 brothers] particularly hard.

Thanks, all of you for your messages.

And my condolences to you, gord. I'm sure you'll be a stength to your Dad.
