I'm not sure anyone can answer that without straying to close to giving medical advice.

What artery are you missing  You can't be missing an abdominal aorta(impressive as that would be)
I dunno what its called, all i know if it comes out of my heart and was meant to carry blood to my lower half, but it aint there, and as i said, my body has made its own system to carry the blood around.

It has a name, but i cant remember it, its a fairly rare condition.

AFAIK alcohol thins your blood, 1 glass of red wine a night is supposed to be good for you for that very reason. Obviously they really mean 1 bottle though  :D

Thickens/thins... whats the difference? The doctor just said i cant binge drink cause it screws with my blood, i never bothered to ask why or what it actually does, i was too annoyed at having my weekend fun taken away from me. :D

Do you have an ateriogram? I'd love to see that :D

Alcohol causes dehydration so thickens the blood, I though the 1 glass a day of red wine was good due to the antioxidants and lowered your BP, but the latest research has shown even that is tenuous.

Is that the thing where they pump your blood full of that hot dye that makes you feel like you're gonna wet yourself then take images with the big donut machine thingy?

If so, my specialist has them somewhere.... i've had three of those, and ultrasounds, but they were only of the clots.

Ah, a quick Google seems to agree with you :o Although there is mention that it might have an effect on the clotting ability of blood which could still be beneficial for DVT...

I tend to fidget a lot when I'm sitting down anyway, and with my attention span as it is, I usually get up and go for a walk or make a cup of tea unless i'm totally engrossed in something. It's very rarely I sit at my computer without moving.

Sorry to hear the other who've had bad experiences :(

I'm not the guy in the newspaper but I was reminded of it.

It can happen to literally anyone, there's no warning signs really

I hope I don't have a blood condition, not being able to drink alchohol sucks :)
