I've just run msconfig to check whats happening at startup and noticed that I have a blank space with the location HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

I've had a quick look around the net concerning this and checked out the address in my registry and don't think it's anything suspicious. Indeed I think it was Steam which created this entry prior to me telling it not to start at startup... there was a file called steam there.

Anyway being a picky git I'd like to delete the blank instance from my startup tab in my System Configuration Utility. ;)

Does anyone know how I would go about doing this? Since all I'm given the option to do is turn it off in msconfig.

do it the manual way. start, run, regedit

browse to the location above and then delete the entry in the right hand pane. simple. :)
