Is there a way with 123-reg to stop users from freely browsing through the directories on a website ?

Create a file called .htaccess with a single line saying Options -Indexes in it. Then upload it to your site.

Any directories underneath the directory with the .htaccess file will be unbrowsable.

This is assuming that 123-reg allow overrides in their httpd.conf.
