Just moved house, and the boiler flue is kinda pointing upwards.. does this need a cap to prevent rain ingress?

Is the flue also venting it far enough away? We had a new boiler installed and the plumber had to fit a telescopic flue kit (i think that is the name) as it didn't meet regulation.

Also looks like it's too close to the window.

Most certainly need to knock the house down and start again

has it got a gas safety check? It tests the flue.

When we moved house the first thing we did was service the boiler. The plumber should be able to answer these questions. Our boiler was "£$%ed, it hadn't been serviced in years, old, cheap, no pressure, leaked, cracked and didn't meet regulation.

That doesn't look 300.... Still, take the hande off and it becomes a fixed unit so would pass regs.

Is it a combi boiler? boiler flue's should run upwards away from the boiler.
