Hi

Need some advice about domain transfer for a friend.
They bought their domain through Lycos, Lycos webhosting have now shut down and despite being sent a transfer request didn’t transfer the domain before closing down.
Does anybody know who would be the best people to speak to about this, the domain is a .org domain.

Cheers

Did Lycos transfer their domains elsewhere before they closed down?
At a guess try getting in contact with the people in charge of the ORG name (PIR.ORG) and maybe file a dispute to see if they can help.

The dispute page is: http://www.pir.org/index.php?db=content/Website&tbl=Registrants&id=8

What is the domain name in question - may be worth going to somewhere like Centralops.net and type in your domain to see if its been transferred elsewhere (you will see a registrar name in there somewhere)

If you need a hand give me the domain name and I will have a look to see who has it

Cheers
