Hey guys...

Ive been out of the loop for a while and it seems all have changed (as usual)...

Basically I have a quick question. I currently have a BFG 7800GTX and have just spotted another one in the MM for £200ish.

I only have a 19" (1280x1024) TFT so res aint massive but is it worth me getting another GTX to go SLI or is the new range of cards (G71 or 1900xtx) still gonna beast my SLI'd GTX's?

The reason I ask is that I know 1x7800gtx was better than SLI'd 6800u's at the time??!

I would think one 7900gtx g71 will be the same as two 7800gtx 256mb...(went it comes out.)

Plus it give you an upgrade path later..(By adding a second g71)

The only trouble is people buy one card leaving the second slot free for a future upgrade. By the time they get round to thinking about an upgrade everyone advises them not to buy a second card of the type they have but to buy a single card of the next gen.

Buying a single card of the next gen means you can upgrade later by adding a second card of the same type. By the time.....

When I play COD2 with 1x7800gtx @ 1280 2x aa max, I get 40-60fps but with 2 cards I get 85-91fps.
1x7800gtx 3dmk05= 8600
2x7800gtx 3dmk05= 13800
Don't think my CPU quick enough feed the cards at lower resolutions though.
If I were you I would get another 7800, then wait for DX10 cards as 2x7800gtx 256 are quicker than 1x1900xt (2x1900xt may have heat issues too).
