dvd drive upgrade

    The second one you linked to will burn Blu-Ray. If you are prepared to wait for new stock and aren't intending to burn data to blu-ray media any time soon I would get the cheaper (first) drive and buy a burner at a later date when the prices have dropped.

    Personally I would only get the reader not the re-write version, blu-ray discs are expensive as it is!

    I'd have though the blue ray performance is more down to the power of your PC then the drive. What spec are you running?

    And bare in mind you'll need blue ray playback software.
