    I also agree. I have been using it for 2-3 years now and they all still work :)

    I personally wouldn't get them from there for that very reason.
    There are retailers that will guarantee what disks you get will be the real thing. (But we can't mention those here. :( )

    Either (as long as they are not fakes) will give you very good quality burns, the 3rd party manufactured ones will be a bit cheaper than Taiyo Yuden branded ones, but not by much.

    At the moment Plextor are making some very good DVD+R (16x) using the YUDEN000T03 dye. :)

    Plextor and Verbatim are making non-printable DVD-Rs (16x) using the TYG03 (Taiyo Yuden) dye at very reasonable prices. :)

    Can't go wrong with Verbatim TYG03, burned 100's, not a single coaster and all have scanned showing the best results of any media I have ever used since getting into burning with a Pioneer 103!

    Do you find 12x is the best for your 16x ?

    sounds a good compromise as i can live with a bit slower
    rather than max everything out
