DVD RW's with Lightscribe

    Just wanted to show what they look like...
    The discs look very professional but do take 30mins on high quality.

    looks better than i expected actually, but 30mins plus the burn time! ouch

    btw how much did the disc cost?

    I think I paid ~ £3.50 for a pack of 5 HP 8x DVD+R Lightscribe discs. Might be cheaper now.

    The Lightscribe CDs were about £6 for a 50 cakebox, IIRC.

    I paid £4.50 for 10 HP DVD+R, you can decrease the quality to give you a time of about 10 mins. but the image is rather faint..

    you dont actually see the dots on the actual disc its really smooth

    I may pick up one of these lightscribe writers but OCUK dont stock the lite on ones.

    i believe the HP drive is a rebadged lite on
    not a 100% sure but i did read it somewere

    labelflash is faster anyway so get one of those.

    i dont know what it is but i dont the the labelflash discs as much as the lightscribe. but i suppose its down to personal choice at the end of the day

    yes about £1 a disc but its still new technology, newer than lightscribe

    ive seen some pictures of different coloured lightscribe discs somewhere on the net. i think you can see more of the detail with the lightscribe discs than you can the labelflash. and i dont care what anyone says about the write time... i think its worth it
