Did Mirror's Edge ever get fixed to work on Windows 7? When I tried the retail disc, the animated cutscene things had no sound.

That would be cool, but the first two games have so many problems with XP, Vista and 7 out of the box that I don't think Steam support would take it...

I think C&C Gold fixed a lot of things. I never had a problem with it on XP when you run it in Windows 95 compatibility mode.

The problem lies with Mass Effect, if you have that in your cart the transaction fails.

iv bought a few EA Retail games is there any way to link them with steam so i do not have to use the DVD's? or is it only with valve games?

Slightly off topic, has anyone tried entering a retail key for a game listed in Steam? I can't get any working (COD4 and 5 for example). I thought it would mean I wouldn't need the DVD anymore. Anyone used this feature successfully?

Yes but it only works for the games listed in the link posted above.

Intending to play through some games again soon, with windows 7 out soon I think I'll throw spore on just before that and have a blast for a bit.
