I fitted ECA thermostatic valves many moons ago (~15 years), and need to replace a couple of the heads as the plastic on the fixing legs seems to go brittle and snap when it's knocked, I did have some spares but I've used them up.
Does anyone know if there are any reasonable quality compatible heads that are easy to get hold of?
I think they were "TRV1's" and they have about a 30mm retaining ring that pulls the head down onto the hex top of the tail. it's the six plastic prongs that go around the hex and hold the ring that break.
I got these originally from screwfix but they don't do ECS anymore (unless they're selling them as unbranded), I don't really want to change the tails on the radiators and can't find a good price/supplier online, although i did find someone selling "multi fit" heads that claim to work.
