Pretty sure you don't need the box to RMA the product. Pretty sure it's part of the consumer act. As long as you have proof you bought it, you should be able to RMA it.

    Doesnt matter if its nvidia

Bang for Buck the 5850 is king at the moment in your price range and out performs the 285 and runs on less Wattage draw.

If you HAVE to have nvidia then go nvidia but if you want something thats high spec and out performs the 285 then go for the 5850.

No reason you can't go ATI.

No, get the 5850, its faster than all those cards, cheaper, and is newer tech, only Nvidia fanbois would buy their slower older cards over it.

The board just means you can't crossfire, doesn't mean you can't use ATI or non-EVGA cards.

Anyway, I'll repeat what I said in the last thread:

    None. Get a 5870. You'd be stupid to spend $405 on a 285 instead of $380 on a 5870.

If you insist on buying nvidia, then the only card you list that actually outpeeforms the 9800x2 (and not by much) is the gtx 285.
The only nvidia card that really beats the 9800x2 is the gtx295.
You could do what I am doing and buy a cheap gtx 260 until the the next series of nvidia cards become available.
