Can some-one explain what relation the term "nm" has in pieces of hardware such as GPU's and CPU's, I relise the lower nm the better the chip is, and it seems to be more important than clock speeds the way people bang on about it, but I have no idea what it is. Might be a daft question and I couldnt really make google understand enough to answer my question. Thanks
nanometres. It is how close the transistors on the chip are (I think), or how big the transistors are. Either way it means that more can be put in a smaller area.
