External Blu Ray drive

Hey guys,

Just repurposed my old gaming laptop into a HTPC and I am looking for recommendations for a good UHD 4K external Blu Ray drive that doesn't cost the earth.

That's tricky. If you've got a recent intel cpu that supports SGX and your mobo has SGX fully enabled and includes an on board HDCP 2.2 HDMI 2.0 port, the Pioneer BDR-XD07TUHD should work.

That's a lot of ifs though. Your better bet would be to use DVDFab Passkey and Powerdvd 20 with an LG Bu40n in an enclosure (you'll need to downgrade the firmware to v1.0).
