I see that Exxon Mobil made the biggest corporate profit ever in 2005 making around 19billion after tax. No wonder they are playing it down to all the critics who are angry over profiteering and the rising cost of fuel. What do you guys think? Do you think they should be making such a profit or should they incurr 'windfall taxes'. Will the prices keep going up? Exxon story
just make then charge a proper representative amount for fuel (to consumers). otherwise you pay tax on the fuel, tax on the tax, then tax on the fuel again!
10% net is a nice margin. Royal Dutch Shell have announced record profits too... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4672716.stm Nice.
