    Hello,

As the title says, what are the fastest stock motherboards for socket 754?

I'm aware that the dfi 250 is the best motherboard on 754 but was interested what was the fastest at stock.

If people could give their top three i'd greatly appreciate it

    Many thanks in advance,

    Dave

I think the Asus K8V Deluxe was very fast at stock.

They are all within some 2% of each other.

    2% eh?

I'll have to stop being such a chicken and learn to overclock properly. i'm extremely poor at the moment and cannot afford to fry anything!

Still, who dares wins and all that!

Than you all for the replies,

    Dave

I've got two socket 754 motherboards, both based on the nForce 3 chipset.

DFI lanparty 250GB and an Asus K8N-E

At stock speed they seem similar, but for overclocking the DFI just blows the Asus away.

    Hope this helps

The MSI K8N Neo Platinum is a very good board at stock. It also has pretty much everything you would ever need on a mobo too.

As Roll states, the DFI is the one for clocking though.
