I'm not much of one for haunting or particularly pretentious lyrics (perhaps I have no soul :p) - I like them nice & down to earth, so I'm going to say:

Even though am not a greenday fan... these lyrics are pretty good on who gets what in the world...

"losers winning big on the lottery, rehab rejects still sniffing glue"

has a pretty good meaning i think

The whole song is amazing but this is the one part that always stands out for me.

Perhaps because his lyrics have a level of sophistication and depth beyond many of his contemporaries. I for one feel that he deserves as much, if not more, recognition than many of the more lauded lyricists such as Dylan & Cohen.
