Dier had a poor game and he will know that, takes some balls to step up to take the 5th penalty fair play to him.

So happy we won, to lose would be bad but to go out to them would've been so gutting. That win can kick us on now hopefully, give us a bit of confidence.

That was the hardest game hopefully until the semi-finals.

Sweden have players who play for Ipswich and Preston.

Come on!

Portugal have players (player?) who play for Real.

Go figure :)
Results of the last 10 England v Sweden matches:

  • Sweden 4-2 England (2012 friendly)
  • Sweden 2-3 England (Euro 2012)
  • England 1-0 Sweden (2011 friendly)
  • Sweden 2-2 England (World Cup 2006)
  • Sweden 1-0 England (2004 friendly)
  • England 1-1 Sweden (World Cup 2002)
  • England 1-1 Sweden (2001 friendly)
  • England 0-0 Sweden (Euro 2000 qualifier)
  • Sweden 2-1 England (Euro 2000 qualifier)
  • England 3-3 Sweden (1995 friendly)
Total: England: 2 Sweden: 3 Draw: 5

Best get practicing those penalties again...

Interesting stats.

And just taking the World Cup results, both are draws....

Im calling 2-2 and goes to penalties :)

Yeah maybe, strange whatever the reason.

Because we've got zero midfield creativity and never have, this leaves our talented forwards coming ever more deeper looking for the ball trying to make something happen.

Our game has always favoured physical attributes over creativity.

I'd like to see Sterling play deeper because I think he is the only one with the ability to run with the ball from midfield and create something, Lindgard looks like a winger trying to play out of position, Henderson is just a runner so is Dier.
