I'm using latest ver of Firefox and latest free ver of Adobe Reader 7.07 (I think) When I click on an adobe link from Firefox, I get the error msg "Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDF in your web browser. Please exit your browser and try again" Or something like that?

Any idea's? using Win XP pro, bang up to date.

Hmm goto Tools>Options>Downloads>View and Edit Actions. Search for PDF and see if there is an action in there, it might be fouled up. If there is something there delete it and try a PDF again. This should prompt FF to ask you whether to download it or open it in a PDF viewer.

If that doesn't work, give this a try. It is a smaller and faster to load PDF viewer. I use it on my PC in place of Adobe. If this works then there is something wrong with Adobe, if it doesn't it is a general problem with FF and not Adobe/Foxit. It might be worth backing up your profile with Mozbackup and making a new profile to see if that works, again with both Adobe and Foxit.
