firefox problem

    since updating to the new version of firefox i have just noticed that it doesnt allow me to save images. i click on the image tell it to save select the directory and hit save. it seems to work but doesnt actually save anything. does anyone know why this is

    Works for me (in both a Bon Echo nightly and 1.5.0.5).
    Is it the same in safe mode (Firefox's, not Windows')?

    Tried a new profile? What version are you running? Any extensions?

    1.5.0.5, reverted back to the slightly older one which once worked 1.5.0.4 but now doesnt, what excatly do you mean by a new profile?

    Stop Firefox, go to %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles, move the folder in there somewhere safe, then start up Firefox. All your bookmarks and extensions will be gone.
    See if it works, then nuke the folder and move the original back.

    yes mate it worked. only when i moved the folder it totaly messed up. i had to put the folder back in its place and just delete all the files that were present within the main folder that you had given me.

    thank you my friend.... its now working and solved my mysterious headache
