this morning when i checked my computer i noticed that my 'dawn of war' icon was not showing, and it was just the default shortcut icon being displayed for it, so i tried to check the dawn of war folder and got a access is denied error. i used search on the forum and found how to turn off simple network sharing, so i did that, added my user to the folders security page (was only listing admin at the time) and it now works fine.

my questino is, how did the folder security options get changed in the first place? my pc has been on for several days but no1 else has had access to it so it couldnt have been changed manualy. could it have been a bug in windows? or possibly a hacker attempt?
