I would recommend upping your budget to £220 and getting a 7950.

Give it a little overclock and you'd looking at around 4x the performance of a 4870.

For £200 I would be looking at the 7850.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7850 OC Windforce 2X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card w/ FARCRY3, Nexuiz, Sleeping Dogs & Dirt Showdown PC Games £179.99
Total : £190.79 (includes shipping : £9.00).

With a reasonable overclock, you will see games zipping along nicely at full detail (1920*1080). I say Gigabyte purely for the warranty, as some of the others have very long turn around times and that is even if you can get them to accept an RMA.

Stretch a bit further and sell the games. That's what I did and saved a lot of money. So I actually didn't buy the card for the original price :)

Well i got the 7850 for £150 with 4 games the only other game you get with the 7950 is Hitman!

Works out nearly £100 more for the 7950 after postage. Just checked will be £80 more and thats the cheapest 7950, thats a big step up specially when the 7850 can run all my games at ultra 1920x1200, maybe not BF3 but at decent settings, i havent tried yet.

But long term if you dont plan to upgrade int he next year id have to go for the 7950, but wait for a deal when you get an OC version with better cooling.

Would you guys buy a 7950 and overclock it yourself or pay a bit more for a factory overclocked version and just try and overclock it more once you receive it?
