a friend has a focus tdci i think its a 1.8? and had a problem a while ago with the flywheel making a verry prominant rattle when its warm, when starting the engine and turning it off, he sent it back under warantee and they changed the flywheel and the problem went away. less than a year later and its back again, the warantee runs out in about 2/3 months so he sent it back last week and now there saying "all TDCI fords do that" hahaha. well theres no way they all do that. but they sent him it back... and thats it. what could he do?
apparantly its a common problem with the dual mass flywheel or something but ford are deniyng this...

any ideas on what he could do?

thanks. Dan

take it to another dealer.

not a joke , i mean it. if its been changed once , and its back , then it needs doing again.
now got 2 tdci foci (in the family),and my tdci mondeo, with no noises (touch wood). :)
