Free webhost recommendations?

Trying to help someone out whose site is now offline because Yahoo! stopped free hosting with Geocities. So looking for recommendations for free-host alternatives, please.

Is it out of the question for them to pay £2 a month for some decent basic hosting? Free hosting will most likely be slower, less reliable and have worse support. Hosts like Vidahost and TSOHost offer basic packages for about £15/year and the service with both is really good.

I have used v70.org before and the service wasn't bad.

Honestly

You can some top quality hoisting at places like vidahost and tsohost for a few poundsa a month.

IF you're going down the free route (E.g. 000webhost) don't complain when it breaks
