Hi guys,

Whats the performance hit if I just plug in the USB receiver into my PC vs. using the supplied cable + lightspeed adapter?

I use the mouse for general use and gaming.

The reason I ask is because I'm on a binge of removing all cables from my desk.

The cable is for charging the mouse mate, and you have the option of plugging the wireless dongle into it if you for some reason need easier access to it. It's got no performance benefit at all. The point is just to plug the dongle directly into your pc and not use the wire unless you have to charge. The adapter is just there for convenience just chuck it in a draw if you don't need it.
