Gainward ATI Radeon HD 3850 Pro 512MB GDDR3

I'm thinking of upgrading a little from my X1950 to a HD3850, I'm only a part time gamer and I don't have a lot of cash. The Gainward HD 3850 at OCUK seems an absolute bargain, will I see a reasonable boost in performance? Anyone know how loud they are?

Yea will be a nice boost and make sure you overclock it they can get some nice speeds. 3 series were pretty bad with aa but still much faster than x1900xtx as i swapped from that to 3870. Call of duty 4 seen me get a massive boost and all the other games i played.

yeah I made a jump from an x1950gt and the difference was quite nice, especially as the x1950 was 256mb.
