Hi folks, I have recently put a 1660super in to my old pc. Today, I've connected it up to my Sony 65 XG95 and I'm getting 1080p 120hz or 1440p 60hz.......so far so good.

But I've no sound!! I have it connected via HDMI. TV is eArc'd to JBL 9.1.

Any ideas how to get around this? In my sound options I'm only getting nVidea options and they're greyed out as they are not cable connected!! A bit stumped......

Thanks for any help.

OK.....so I've had a bit of success!! If I don't have the HDMI connected to either the PC or TV while the PC boots up it recognises the HDMI audio. If it's connected then I'm back to square one.

So glad I've made a bit of progress but surely there is a way around this.......unplugging and plugging in the cable at every boot up will be a pain in the hole!!

Anyone have any suggestions?

Wasn't able to do that as it was greyed out!! But.....got it sorted, meant to update here!! It was a simple fix in the end. I went in to task manager and deleted the HD audio driver - got windows to find one and voila.....all working. The greyed out HDMI audio in the playback tab was now available. All good!!
