Hi, first time post on this site, so here is my problem. The past two weeks my pc has reset itself under heavy gaming load (most of the time). i play at 4k resolution max detail on every game i can find but this now causes the pc to reset after a short period of time (which didnt happen with my really old psu) putting the detail down to 1440p on games resolves this. prior to the issues i have upgraded my psu to a corsair platinum series 1200 watt, here are my pc specs :

cpu - intel i9 9900k
ram - 32gb 3000mhz
gpu - amd vega 64 8gb nitro+
mobo - asus maximus hero
psu - corsair platinum 1200 watt

has anyone had this problem before? would appreciate any solutions.

thank you

Sounds like something’s getting too toasty... maybe check that and post back details of what your CPU and GPU stats are saying.

i will use msi AB run some games and see what it comes up with

I would encourage you to use something more CPU focussed and also let you know quite a few crashes are caused by Riva Tuner which is installed by MSI Afterburner. Personally I would test making sure it is all off...
