gatorskins direction

Sorry to hijack, but slightly related question as I was looking at getting some gatorskins but the comments here have put me off.

What would people recommend for slightly wider rims, narrowest tire I can accommodate is a 32 I believe. Internal rim size is 21mm.

Any suggestions?

The new tyres will be purely for on the Road

Schwalbe G-One's. Ideally TL if going that big/bigger.

If you're not too worried about weight and want a tough wearing, bad conditions & winter proof tyre then the Specialized Roubaix Pro come in a 28/32 size.
