My friend has just purchased the card below for his system and I've been trying to get it to work for the last couple of days.
Leadtek GeForce 7600 GS 256MB DDR2 HDTV/DVI (AGP) - Retail (GX-092-LT)

Everytime I run Battlefield 2 on his system its really slow, laggy and jerks a lot on both high and low graphics settings (its just as good with his old 32MB geforce2 Ti)

I have tried the latest drivers(ForceWare 97.02, 2006-11-10) and also tried some slightly older drivers (Forceware 95.97, 2006-10-14).

i now dont know what to try, any ideas? Would it be that its 8x AGP card in a motherboard that is 4x AGP?

sounds like some software related problem. failing all driver re-installs and driver cleaner work his only option is to give it a full format. before you do make sure you have the additional power connector plugged in. the pcie variants of those cards don;t have additional molex power connector since they draw all the power from the pci-e slot.

I went through the help guides on this forum and used driver cleaner but still no results

The additional power connector is plugged in correctly.
