Hi I bought a Gigabyte Gaming 3 AB350 motherboard for my son's computer for Christmas which worked fine for about a week then started developing freezes and restarts and eventually died. I returned it for the same model. Same thing happened, I have yet to return it but now have an AS Rock Fatal1ty AB350 motherboard. I've only had it installed 2 days and this now won't boot. First it gave out 4 beeps. Which I thought was the graphics card, so I changed to a different pci slot and it booted fine. Now it won't boot again and gives 3 beeps followed by 8 beeps.

I had both Gigabyte motherboards checked out by a local pc specialist who ran diagnostics on the whole system and confirmed both boards are faulty.

Is this AS Rock motherbaord faulty as well?

I can't believe what bad luck I'm having.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

P.S. the computer has eventually booted back up and working again but I only feel it's a matter of 24 - 48 hours before it goes down again and possibly that would be the end of the motherboard.

did you contact Gigabyte RMA team or RMA team from sellers your bought it from ? Gigabyte forum rep on here is pretty handy in such cases
and what error/fault did they find with the board ?

believe there is an ASRock rep as well, as least a thread page were you might get some feed back on the board for the beeps.

Did you upload latest bios for both boards? as well as try on stick of ram ?
