It's an awful thing to laugh at, but I was just watching a scene where a father had reported his 14year old daughter missing. The police visited him and he didn't seem overly bothered.

Police Office 1 - 'Mate, you don't appear to be taking this seriously, but imagine the scene, I could come in and say, I'm here to inform you your daughter has been raped.'

Cut to the next scene, narrator says:

'An hour later, a 14 year old girl calls 999 saying she has been raped.'

WTF was that police officer thinking?! He then had to go round and break the news to the father. How uncomfortable would THAT have been?

Obviously it's not always nice and good stuff.

But to be honest I wouldn't mind being a cop here in the UK. Sucks for the girl though :(
