going to give up smoking again

    Going to give up now, used to smoke 10 a day now its down to five, so i hope this time ill quit for good. Have a calendar next to my pc and going to mark of the days.

    What do you mean again?

    If you smoke then you never actually gave up.

    The only people I know who have sucessfully given up (including Dad) went cold turkey.

    Just stop now, take your fags and mash em all up and just don't smoke another one.

    5 and a half years I've been stopped now, was on 30+ a day when I packed in.

    I disagree. I quit using the NHS stop smoking service. Was on patches for 3 months, never smoked for 3 years niw. Completely smoke free.

    Use some will power, just throw them away and stop, that’s what I did and it worked.

    With nicorette patches and that thing that looks like a cigarette but isn't, there seems to be better help for quitters
