Currently have 6 computers either directly connected to a Buffalo router or via a swtich to the router. Previously had a BT hub thing which effectively filtered out porn, Facebook, Youtube and so on ,things I did not want the students to look at. When the BT Homehub died via a violent confrontation with an unknown assailant, we needed a router asap so got the Buffalo.

Now, from what I can see, there is no decent support for filtering via the router. There may well be something, but it is not obvious to me. What I need is a software filter to stop the guys and girls breaking terms in the place I am teaching.

I am not an IT whizz but I have a rough idea on what to do. Funding is a big issue as I need to get it resolved quickly and, well, going through the standard proceedures is a lengthy process and therefore out of the question.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

    Running WinXP by the way.

Nice, used the OpenDNS option with the autoupdater. Works fine!
