Background image in IE....thats all I need.
Yeah they've gone all Bing.
There's no 'remove' option though as it's really annoying, especially as it's slow when it does the fade-in thing.
The only thing you can do is set the background to white (under Editor's picks category)
I don't understand? Can you enlighten me?
Only a matter of time before I get users on the network here setting the background as pictures of private parts and dead bodies. Another thing for me to fart about blocking.
You can go to www.google.com/ncr for the US site which doesn't have it.
Edit: At least not on mine.
I had to unblock www.google.com temporarily, but the search engine now has a background image.
I don't see anything different in .com or .co.uk :s
Edit: Ohh is it only when using Internet Explorer?
I didn't notice, igoogle hasn't changed.
It does this for me in FireFox too
Aaaah it does it in firefox!
Opera is the win.
Google have a habit of testing things new things to random people, so this may not be appearing for everyone yet.
Here's a screenie for the unintiated...
oh dear, the white background was why I prefer google
Says you can add your own background image.
If you want it white again then just add a white image
Yeah, thankfully I personally use Opera. Would love it to be the default browser for the network but the users get terribly confused if anything other than IE is used so its not an option.
Yea, in Google Chrome as well...
It is absolutely terrible.
Lets hope they give us the option of removing that terrible background.
It looks really, really crap compared to Bing.
Does it in FF and IE, not in Safari or Opera.
Works really, really well compared to Bing
When I add the white image, the writing in the foreground is almost unreadable.
Separate names with a comma.
