The problem with that is now that Google are messing with the background CSS of the site, during the fade-in the aliasing of the text goes very strangeIf you want it white again then just add a white image

Off topic, but why can't their services remain seperate?
When I want to remain signed into my gmail account my address appears at top of each google search page if that makes any sense. There's no option to change this as well.

Pretty sure this is temporary and just to advertise the new feature they put in a few days ago where you can add your own pic. Should be back to the white soon enough (I hope =/)

Well I'm not so fussed about that picture, more worried about the 3000 pictures that my network users will inevitably start sticking up. Just one more thing that I have to block which I could do without having to waste time blocking

This is just stupid. Even when you change it back to white you can barely see any of the text or the google logo. Complete gash.
This was true once but to be fair Bing has been pretty good for a long time now. Google and Bing give me better results on different searches, if you have an open mind it's worth adding to your tools. I really don't get the blind brand loyalty and hatred around here sometimes.... /shrug
Can't you just leave them to their funny little pictures? Nothing they couldn't do at home, or on their mobiles, or by using a proxy.
P.S upgrade to Opera, I've always wanted to use a system where the default browser is Opera, but no admin has the balls to

Nope. I dont have the luxury of allowing 2500 teenagers putting pictures of porn/corpses/racism as backgrounds on their browsers. Kind of tends to lead to loss of job

SRWare Iron is my current default, although I still use FF, IE and Chrome from time to time - I'm yet to find a single browser that ticks all the boxes to the point that I can uninstall the others.
Now if someone would just produce one browser that too the best aspects of all the others I'd be happy.. Sorry for the quick derail
