    Hey all,

I'm currently looking to get the better half a small present for finishing her doctors degree (assuming she gets through these last couple of exams). Looking for some suggestions for something which would be apt for a doctor.
Only thing I can think of is to get an engraved pen or maybe otoscope, however I'm thinking that this is a bit dull.

Any suggestions? Or do you think the pen would be the best?

    A nice watch?

Time is of the essence when lives are at stake.

Hope she does well in her exams. :)

Buy her a book, and then you can sign it.

a solid silver (or very good quality) frame for her certificate, or something she will need/use in the field she will be specialising in over the coming years

I like the frame idea. Pens can get lost, but a good frame or a nice watch (can still be engraved) will be something she will see all the time, and remind her of you :D

Right my plan of action would be the following.

Show her this thread, headbutt her, then when she wakes up give her a nice present and she'll think she's had a funny sort of premonition of you giving her a gift and then you take her to bed. Sorted.

For my graduation I got a nice pen from my sister.

Have a look for a nice mont blanc pen or similiar.

Hey don't be too quick to judge my plan, just to re-emphasise

    :D

I'm sure something gold or expensive will do, they're just like Magpies.

What would you have it say? Something witty please, we're all waiting with baited breath. :D

She'll probably be inundated with all the usually 'graduation' presents. Perhaps try to think outside the box a little, although perhaps the above suggestion might be going a bit far :p. Does it have to be for keeps? If not, a big bottle of expensive champagne might be just the ticket.
