Hi,

Having used a Dell i7 laptop pretty much as a desktop for the last seven years, I am looking to build a ground up PC to run the following software,

Autodesk Inventor
Solidworks
Flight Simulator
Xplane

I'd be interested to hear recommendations for the entire PC build list.

Thanks in advance

Yes I do, it is just the rig itself I need

Really not sure on budget it doesn't have to be flash....just functional
8 core and 32gb of ram minimum for solidworks and depends on what resolution your ganing at ?

Building yourself the provlem is graphics card availability its a nightmare unless you get a pre built system.

If you want a Flight Simulator rig then you want a CPU that's good at single threaded performance. Even though Intel is generally crap these days, they still are pretty good for that. Alternatively, if you budget allows for something like a AMD 5900X then you are solid too.

The GPU won't matter as much as your CPU.

Also, get a good NVMe SSD in your build as well, you will need it for the load times.
